Child Safety Policy
1. Our commitment
Pooq Media ("Pooq") is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children. Pooq is a marketplace for adults, and this policy explains how we keep children out of the service and what we do if a child's safety is at risk.
2. Age requirement
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, book a service or offer services on Pooq.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
- If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we will suspend it and delete the associated personal data.
3. Services involving children
Some categories, such as Teaching, may involve children as learners. In these cases:
- Bookings must be made and paid for by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over.
- A parent or guardian should be present or reachable, and should agree the time, place and content of any session.
- Providers must not ask a child for personal contact details, photos or payments, and must communicate with the guardian.
4. Provider conduct
- Providers must not contact, message or befriend a child outside of a booking made by their guardian.
- Any form of abuse, exploitation, grooming or inappropriate behaviour towards a child is strictly prohibited and results in immediate removal from Pooq.
- Where local law requires it, providers who work with children are expected to hold the appropriate background checks or clearances.
5. Prohibited content
We do not allow content that sexualises, exploits or endangers children. Such content is removed, the account is permanently banned, and we report it to the relevant authorities where required by law.
6. Guidance for parents and guardians
- Keep your account details private and do not let children use your account unsupervised.
- Keep all communication and payments inside Pooq so that we can help if something goes wrong.
- Review a provider's profile, ratings and reviews before booking.
7. How to report a concern
- Use the Report option on any profile, message or booking in the app.
- Or contact us using the details on our website and mark your message "Child safety".
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
We review child-safety reports as a priority and cooperate with law enforcement.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
